Nothing New on the Horizon???????

I know I have not written anything recently and that is just due to the lack of excitement.. But now this has changed.. There are a few major things out there that are sparking interests and especially mine..

1. Have you seen the current Nike Air Max Lebron 8 Colorways? My oh my they are impressive as well is the shoe itself.. This has to be the most comfortable and durable shoe I have ever worn in my entire life. If by chance you feel that $160 is too much to pay for a shoe you are sadly mistaken. Please keep spending $150-$175 on the poorly made Jordan Brand items and leave these to me for purchase. This shoe is like walking on a pillow and being surrounded by a mattress, believe me this is not a gross embellishment. Please go to your local Footlocker or Finish Line and try a pair on and see what I am talking about. You will not be disappointed. Please see some of the Colorways below for perspective.

Lebron 8 V/2 Christmas

Lebron 8 V/1 South Beach/Pre Heat

Lebron 8 V/2 Grey/Black/Neon

2. Nike SB has stepped up there game lately with a few new releases and a few more coming out the year of 2011.. It seems they have been reading and listening to their customers. Here are a few that have already released and a few to come..

Nike SB Loon

Nike SB Yellow Curbs

Nike SB P.Rod Doernbechers

Upcoming Releases

In ending let me just say I hope that these great releases continue on.. Check us out on Sole Collector @ www.solecollector.com/forums username: thesportsaddict

Fake Freddy Guide

As of lately it is coming to light about alot of hard to spot counterfeit Freddy's.. I will give you 2 links to reference for this and the following info.

I will be added more info and pics to this, but this is to start the word on these.
http://forums.n-sb.org/index.php?/topic/185768-freddy-krueger-scrapped-version-legit-check-guide/

1. The blood on legit pairs has a violet hue compared to the very dark color on fakes.
2. The brown lace coloring on fakes is very off from the color of the tan nubuck. It won't match perfectly but should be close.
3. The “NIKE” embroidery on fakes looks the same for all sizes and is very thin/small
4. The size tags for fake pairs have the same faded font print; fakes have the same date of 07/21/07. Legit Pairs have the following dates: 07/18/07, 08/18/07 and 08/20/07
5. The heel stitching on legit pairs is straight without any sloped discrepancies.
6. The nubuck on legit pairs has scraped marks that are distinct, where as the fake pairs scraped markings are faded and looked scanned on. You should be able to run your fingernail across the scratch marks and feel them in the material on legit pairs.
7. Shapes of fakes will be off
8.All of the “good” fakes don’t come with extra laces because a fake lace bag would be a dead giveaway. In other words, fake pushers got smarter by not including a lace bag that would be easy to spot them as being fake.
9. Paint from the midsole and sole will blend together due to poor craftsmanship.
10. Also notice that the sole of Fake pairs will be shiny. It should not be shiny.
11. The blood splatters should not be mirrored on the toebox area
12. The stitching in the Midsole should not have any gaps in it at all.. The stitching should be tight against the other stitches.

Use all of these as a basis for comparison, not just 1 or 2... That way you have thoroughly checked them.

Custom Market is Top

I have been noticing the Custom Shoe Market has been taking off and one company in particular has caught my eye. Diversitile Custom Clothing. While the OG makers of shoes are on hiatus from producing hot CW's that grab our attention and stimulate our minds, this company has done this and more. They have made multiple pairs of exclusive custom shoes and clothing that are appealing yet not as expensive as paying re-sellers prices for some LR or QS shoes you want but have trouble finding. There are 2 releases from them recently that in no short of terms are completely spectacular. They are the Cease and Desist Dunks. And unlike being limited by certain color's and select shoes on other sites, the possibilities are only slowed by your imagination. I have already created an order to have a custom box made for my Freddy K SB's. When it arrives I will share pics with you.... Check out the photos and the links... Please also check out their gallery for their previous work also their Facebook and Twitter .

Dear Nike and Jordan Brand

I have not posted in a while due to the lack of excitement in the shoe game. JB and Nike SB have been failing heavily at aiming to provide shoes that customers want and will buy. Go to your local Footlocker, Footaction, Finisline or nikestore.com and look at the recent releases that are still sitting there, some are even on sale. Some people think that you are releasing too many shoes at one time and others think it has to do with the economy. The essence or truth about it is people are bored of the same old crap you are producing. Most buyers do not even realize they are being sucked into a downward spiral of poorly manufactured and poorly designed shoes by you. On the Nike SB side of the game, how may recent releases are catching your eye as the maker? On the Jordan Brand side how many also? What about just regular old Nike products? The Foamposite Pro Pearl's have not sold. There are still FSR's available at almost all the big stores (Including your website King Nike).

There are some releases coming up that should have hype written all over it and should be the biggest releases of the year, but they are not. How many of us were excited almost neurotic about the news of the Flint XIII's being retro'd? Hell I was, but the problem we have now is this. How in the hell do you take the 3M off this shoe? Please give me and your loyal buyer's a reason why we are being charged $10 more for you to take out the 3M, one of the reason's this shoe was so popular upon OG Release. Why are you are also using Synthetic Leather aka: Pleather? You do realize people will get tired of buying crap products from you and you will be the Ford Motor Corporation of the Sneaker Industry.

In ending. I know my little blog means absolutely nothing in this giant world we live in, but just by chance 1 of you read this, you will start to re-think your approach to producing your item's before release..

PS - Everyone hates the blue sole that you are putting on the Cool Grey XI.... Thanks for destroying another classic Jordan......

True Jordan Collector is Gone

I read this, this morning as soon as I opened internet explorer. This was a sad day for all true collector's. This guy devoted his life to scrounging for the Jordan's he wanted to have his life taken by MS. Please give this a read. People have always said it's not the shoes that make the man, but the man that makes the shoes. Well in this one instance, they are DEAD WRONG. The shoes gave him a sense of belonging and acceptance of himself. He found a way to identify with himself.
